Saw these on CL locally cheap. They look well-built, albeit a bit beat up. The tweeter looks a lot like an RTR tweeter I saw a while back, but I don't recognize the logo on the grill....

I have these, I for the life of me can NT name right now

Been a looooooong day already. When I get home will pull them out to get you the info. The were produced by a LSS in Ohio I believe to compete with the NLA's. Might be a bit shakey here on the facts. Graphix I think?

Very well done, well built german xxovers.

Not an RTR tweet if I can remember.

My advice would be to get them if they are cheap. Low level play is superb. Bass is pure.

Yep Grafyx SP series speakers (SP-6/8/10),they're a bit of a sleeper brand,but those that own them have very high praise for them.

Made in Illinois by a guy named August Bertram and they were intended to take on brands like Advent head-on.

The tweeters are indeed Philips items,and IIRC the woofers came from Gefco.

I say buy 'em... I'm betting you will be pleasantly surprised by these.

I currently have a pair of super rare Grafyx Model 4 floorstanders that are in need of woofer/mid refoam,and they seem to be very well built,heavy as he!! too.

Good call Donkey, first glance when I opened page was NLA, then saw tweeter. Woofer looks very "NLA-y." I think you're on to something Brett. Surrounds look like they might be ok too. If it's anything like a NLA xover, it'd be cake to recap.

I bought a pair of SP8s from a thrift store.
I had not heard of the brand.

They are really excellent speakers!
