Speaker Lab kit speakers circa 1970s -- any info, opinions?

Wow, great memory recall Spalls. I dealt with a few great people at the Roosevelt store but pick them out of photo...? Ok, you guys have inspired me to post a couple more scans. Here's the other side of the family photo scan from the front table of contents in the old catalog, including a model S7, S1 and a little S ".1" along the right margin. ... can you tell these guys and gals enjoyed their work?

Speakerlab fan, would you happen to have any catalog scans from the 1980 or 1981 catalog? There have been two on eBay recently, one I lost, and the second one I forgot to place my bid.

Sorry, I don't have those. I have three earlier catalogs from 76/77, 77/78, and 78/79.

The Speakerlab 30 utilized the Nestorovic woofer system. I built a pair back in the late 70's. The bass was better then most speakers I was familiar with at the time. I powered them with my Pioneer SX-1980 and it use to shake the glasses off the shelves in college. I still have the Speakerlab 30's unfortunately they are in dire need of repair.

OK well i think they are the 1's.? The are very small with maybe a 5 " driver and a soft dome teweeter above the woofer......in a light oak....Solid build........smooth sounding....Gray Grills....inverted surround on the woofer

Cover plus 35 pages. Total 19.3 mb.
I can make the pics smaller, but written stuff will be difficult to read.
Also, these pages include, free of charge, my handwritten doodles, notes, sketches, schematics, etc.
OK, so I didn't know at the time this would be a collector's item!

I realize this thread's a couple of weeks old, but I thought I'd chime in anyway, being a newbie & all. 
I currently own a pair of Speakerlab DAS7s, bought them new in 1987. I replaced the back woofers at the 16 year mark & the fronts a year later. They were pretty pricey back in '87, but they sounded the best out of all the speakers I'd listened to, especially with the Carver amp & pre amp combo I got along with the speakers.
I've definitely got my money's worth out of them, & they still sound great.
Speakerlab definitely gets a thumbs up from me. :thmbsp:
