I'm not particularly knowledgable about EPI speakers, but they do look decent for that price. I probably wouldn't buy them though since it has a mismatched woofer. Too bad, because those cabinets look really nice on them. Someone more knowledgable than I could maybe tell you if it'd be worth it/possible to track down the original woofer - but that's just me.
Early EPIs are great. Later ones are kind of hit-and-miss. I've never heard one with a horn. It does look like you'd have to replace at least one woofer. $58/each for the Human "improved" replacements. http://www.humanspeakers.com/e/epi-magnus-a12.htm

There are a few pairs of later epi's in WI on milwaukee cl and also in chicago.

I would pass. Look for the early EPI's (M series) with the inverted dome tweeters. Good luck.

EPI made their mark with 8" woofers and inverted dome tweeters. The later stuff was all in response to marketing decisions to make products that looked more impressive than small 2 way systems. Their were some models that were innovative in concept, but still using the same tweeters and either 8" or 6" woofers.
Those look like they may have come much later after Harman purchased the brand.
