Speakers connected to JVC AX-R97 get quiet when you turn on Rear (aka B or Remote Set)

I have no idea what's happening when you push the button for a second set of speakers. If you did that with nothing connected on #2, and the amp connects them in series, you'd get no sound. Weird problem, dirty relay or something.

Twisting the wires and hooking the sub and the speakers up to #1 would be best. Connecting the speakers to high level out on the sub would be good too. The amp in the sub does not drive the speakers, it's simply a pass through.

A couple tips, instead of maxing all the sliders on the eq out, set them to the middle. Turn the loudness off. Then play with the eq as needed to tweak your sound.

You're the one who asked the question.

It's called sarcasm spanky1. ;)

His sub wires were already at the back of the receiver, no need to look anything up or test to see if the sub outs are high passed. :dunno:

If both pairs of your speakers are not matched close enough in efficiency then the higher efficiency speakers will make the lower efficiency speakers lose power. Do the A & B speakers work okay independently?

I think he has one pair of speakers and a powered sub.

Hmm, yeah, that's a weird one. Maybe a dirty switch? :dunno:

Maybe try the sub with the RCA pre inputs just to see if the subs hi level inputs might be bogging it down in some way?
