Camber LS-1 - incredible small speaker. One of the best sealed boxes I have ever heard. Smaller than Boston A40 for a sealed box but sound much bigger.

I sold my PSB 300 begrudgingly. Upstaged by the Cambers that i discovered. But they are soooo nice. But very happy to see the person I sold it to has emailed me to say how much they like them. It was such a hard decision.

I know this is a few years old but it's not everyday I come across.someobe who also owns Camber 3.0ti's. By far the best speakers I've ever owned. Powering them with an upgraded Hafler DH-220 they blew me away the first time I powered them up. The seas titanium tweeter is killer. I run them with 2 12in subs crossed over at 80hz. I run the Camber crossed over @40hz since they have great bass and will play almost flat into the 30s. My neighbor who has never been in my garage walked over when I was out there and was shocked I didn't have huge speakers. I've saw people quote that you'd need to spend $4-5k on newer bookshelves to compete. I'm happy to hear they upstaged the PSB300. Great to know since it's hard to place how good they actually are compared to the rest since their isn't much info out there. I have them in a 2.2 and also they are my main fronts for 5.2 setup in the man cave. They performed very well in that aspect also. The imaging is so well I prefer not using my center and running is ghost so everything gets sent to the fronts. Best $300 I've ever spent. They're mint.

Really no such thing as speakers I will never sell. Our hearing changes, our upstream gear changes etc, so perhaps there are speakers that would get less and less play time that I will hang on to for sure, perhaps for the sake of nostalgia?

But the truth is: I have yet to hear the few pair of speakers I would never sell until I aquire them, so some must go to facilitate room for more. Change is inevitable and variety is the spice of life. ( But good luck trying to pry my Mirage M3 from me.....)
 
..I'll add the Kappa 8 to the list of not-going-anywhere for a while. They are in a very special category of very few all time favourite speakers. I also regret I haven't been able to find way to use Maggies and DQ10/20/30 in my rooms and thats kind of dissapointing considering I tried and I know how great they can sound if you have the space for them, as they are other that one could go with for years. I regret parting with Mirage M1 though. That's for sure.
 
I just sold a pair of KEF 104/2s that I put a lot of effort into.

I can't imagine selling my 1290s unless I've just bought 1290s in walnut veneer. Probably the same is true for my 1590s and 710s. Suspect I'll hold on to the Vienna Haydns I got for a very good price. Everything else likely will go...
