I have a spec 1 that is in need of an amp, it's the only pc of the puzzle I'm missing. I really don't need any thing with high wattage, I'm looking at the SA-8500 amp. My question is will this amp pair up to the preamp?
The Spec 1 is one of the nicest amps made. Versatile, where the operation and function meld together. Awesome pre.
It makes any amp sing but connected to the Spec 2 the pair becomes a legend.
Thanks zebulon1! Can you believe I picked it up for $33! Needs servicing (caps, deoxit, transistors then on the scope. I have a tech friend that's really sharp on electronics to work on it.) what is a fair price for the sa-8500?
