Specs for 8" replacement woofer mpw08900913-1 9418 in a pair of Allisons

Hi, I picked up a pair of Allison LC 120s and it turns out the 8" woofers have been replaced with a poly coned, rubber surround unit whose only identifier is mpw08900913-1 9418.

The woofer sounds like it is perhaps 3 dB louder than it should be based on using an equalizer. Does anyone know what this woofer is and what it's specs are?

I have to decide between padding down the existing woofer (which I've never done before), finding a more suitable replacement, or just parting out the tweeters and grills.

They sounded quite dull especially in the crossover region and above, which is specified as 2kHz. I used the eq in foobar2k and bumped everything below 1800 Hz down a couple of dB, 1800 down 1dB less, and left everything above 2,000 Hz alone. Dropping two or three dB it sounded mellow but more in line with what my other Allisons sound like. This was just a rough experiment, obviously. I just tried the speakers is a different room which is livelier (lacking carpet and wall to wall books) and they sound more natural, but they are also on stands rather than the floor, which is what they were designed for.

You nailed the woofer. Much respect.

Except it looks like this itself was a replacement woofer. None of the AR94s I see (and there were many variations) seem to look like it, nor do the later TSW series woofers.
