So I disconnected the little strap that ground the cartridge body, and I misplace it. Now I need it back as it has a hummmmmmm on my Black Widow. Does anyone have a solution?

Remove the connector clip from the ground pin that USED to have the ground strap. Wrap a thin wire around the pin, then put back the connector clip. Wrap the other end around one of the cartridge mount screws, so it makes contact with the metal mount ears. If you are using the Stanton-supplied insulating plastic mounting inserts, you will have to wrap that wire around a metal mounting ear, itself.

Thank you for e advice, but sadly I don't have a thin wire handy.

Good idea! I'm going to fiddle with it tomorrow a I am now listening to Medeleine Peyroux on my Technics 1200mk2!

I affixed a piece of metal, didn't do the trick. Whatever combo I have of:

Arm ground

Chassis ground

Cart body ground

It seems to hum. It also hums more when I touch or go near the cart body, if that helps anyone.

I don't know much about black widow, but my RB300 shares the same ground with blue tonearm wire. You may want to give that a shot.

double check your headshell wiring. I had the wires reversed on the pins at the headshell connector end on my Thorens, causing it to hum annoyingly with the Stanton 681EE. I have no idea how long its been like that, a couple years most likely, but it only hummed with the Stanton. Sorting the wires out made it stop.
