I guess I am a pain in the ass because a comment I spent a lot of time on and backed with data to help someone was welcomed with “stupid suggestion.” The person I wrote it for got it all wrong: disappointing. And then the peanut gallery comes in to tell me that I’m the rude one since I said “do your homework.” Incredible. And then my DMs fill up telling me that this is how it is now and it sucks and don’t bother posting anything unless you want to get attacked, which is quite illuminating.

I have a 681 EEE, hardly used, bought it new, stored in it's silver metal box with screwdriver and hardware. The thread has inspired me to mount it and give a listen. Also have a 4DQ, same history. I should mount that and give it a listen.

I'll say it listens, listens closely at that.

Yes, I should mount it, both of them. It's been years since hearing them, had so many options at the time and out of sight out of mind. They are practically new, that is, hardly used. I do know where they are, among the things I keep. They packaged the neatest little screwdriver with them, key fob mounting ring, screwed into a receiver for easy access, knurled, think it is stainless steel. Excellent marketing, packaging.
