Starbucks new regular coffee -- pretty good

I like the new Pike Place blend. I always order a large with no room for anything which usually gets a chuckle from the staff.
Been drinking Starbucks for so long I can still remember when they had the one shop in Seattle. Does anybody in the Seattle area remember them from way back when (before they became the Starbucks we all know today)? Used to stop in there when I was in the area visiting from Spokane.

I have been drinking a lot of high-end blends for a few years now, but last week I went to visit my mother and she gave me a cup of coffee that really was delicious! I asked her what it was and was surprised when she said "Maxwell House"! I bought a large can and have been really enjoying coffee lately!!

I have to agree. I just bought this plastic blue jug of Maxwell House, with 33 oz of Columbian Supreme med dark. This stuff is great, drinking it right now. I normaly get my columbian beans from Fla. Then grind. Got this in a pinch and I am very suprized. Plus it was on sale for $4.99, thats why I thought I would try it.
Ive never been much on MH, but this stuff is worth trying.:thmbsp:

We used to drive down from Vanvouver to Seattle to buy coffee and visit friends. In those days Starbucks coffee was smooth with lots of flavour. These days my impression is that it is over roasted to get some flavour out of cheaper beans. I still prefer it to other chain coffee but generally buy coffee from one or two small local coffee roasters who seem to have a much better product. Better coffee seems to be available now in most parts of BC.
