Steal this Mac preamp!

Here's a C28 in my area - http://www.ksl.com/index.php?nid=218&ad=13916046&cat=25&lpid=&search=. The faceplate is ruined, don't know if those are still available. But it's still a Mac pre under 2 bills.

Wow -- steal it is. Faceplates are still available, and the C28 is a nice unit. Wish it were near me.

I used to work at a stereo store that sold McIntosh. Awesome stuff. And McIntosh has their own in-house equipment to laser cut any of their glass face plates. So, like titanstats said, face plates are still available.

Man, I'm tempted to stop and ask my old boss for a McIntosh shipping box, and buy this preamp. Could send the box to him for shipping back to me! :yes:
