Stephens trusonic 120cx co-axials

Wait a minute, I thought I was the only one in MA with a single 106AX.....

:scratch2:

You guys need to get together sometime and make a pair.

Sixcats has a beautiful Eames-designed cab with a Stephens. Huge cab. I seem to recall it being a single 15" Stephens FR-type driver, but when I look online, those cabs kinda' give a 2-way woofer & horn impression. Hopefully he'll see this. I got the same impression as mhardy6647. Excellent midrange clarity, open-sounding with a big, accurate image. Just a bit too-aggressive for my tastes (keeping in mind that I prefer VERY-laid-back British speakers from that same era). That said, I think fans of old EV's and JBL's would like the Stephens drivers even more. Astonishingly-accurate and transparent for a '50's driver.

the 15 inch full rangers are pretty darn good on there own.Add a nice horn on top and they really are hard to beat..not well known or available ,should be keeping these under the radar
