Stereo lamp type for a Marantz 2226b?

I'm working with a 2226b and need to know what kind of lamp the stereo indicator uses. When I tried removing the burned out bulb it broke into dust. :sigh:

I wonder if the lamp man dgwojo would know... :scratch2:

Any help is appreciated.

Doesn't anyone own any god tweasers?
If not, heat a needle up really good and push it out from the top or back.
It is bi-pin, so you don't have to worry about threads.
 
I offer 3 different types of stereo indicators, the 2230 & 2270 for example uses a pair of 6.3v/40ma bi-pins in series for 12.6v, some use a single 12v/40ma blue base bi-pin, while still others use an 8v/60ma lamp with red and white wires, I'd assume that's the one for the 2226B, Dave. :yes:

Hi, i ordered lamps for my 2226B I know there 200MA lamps...but i was sent 8vo.25A? is this a after market? or did i get screwed? Iam hoping not. can anyone tell me im not going to put them in till i know for sure if there okay if there not i guess im buying more ....thanks hope someone knows ..not a fuse man here Marantz 2226B S0NNY PS-LX-350H TECHNICS SL-B100 YAMAHA BOOKSHELF (SMALL ROOM HERE)
 
Some folks say this is the result of 250 mA lamps. I'm not so sure, but why take a chance when the exact parts are available.

I have seen the same results with factory original 200ma lamps. I feel that the formulation of the plastic housing had more to do with the heat distortion than the lamps. I have observed pristine housings with factory installed 300ma lamps--who knows??
 
DgWojo's lamps aren't manufacturere's original quality, they are MUCH better! I can tell you from the ones I bought, which worked perfectly. There are also LEDS available from whsh93a , another AK member. You will get the right ones and you can't go wrong with either of these. Why make things harder than they are, right?
 
yes i see they put the 250MA's in alot now i put them in but i am checking alot and will keep doing so till i feel they will be okay ...thanks everybody for the input and they where EZ to put in geesh.. not hard at all..again thanks for all your time ...oh oh one more thing i know im on the worng page for this but when i opened this unit ..i just got this one 2 days ago its really drity inside whats the best way to clean them out. i know air but is the a good spray out there without hurting the broads?? if so please let me know ..it does play like a dream but then again its a Marantz...LoL
 
hi again tried a few things but my am/fm meter is dim to the rest of my 2226B any way to get it brighter? and yes i blew it out she's nice!!!!!:-) well any way hope someone knows or i'll have to live with it and the 250"s worked great

Did you change the vellum in the meters too?? Maybe put the 250ma in the meters and the "CORRECT" 200ma's in the dial. :yes:
 
I haven't found the Vellum easy to replace in the meters. Clips on the plastic housing seem to break just by looking at them.
