That is so beautiful. I can stare at your aquarium all day long. I would love to get some fish but my wife is not into fish. She has her hands full with the dog and Gerbal
 
If you're on a budget Thrift stores can be a great place to get interesting stuff.
There is a lot of cheesy stuff, but there can be some real cool things too.

Picture frames at a store that sells frames can be expensive, but in thrift stores you can get cheesy pictures in nice frames for a couple bucks. - turn them around and you can tell the ones that can be taken apart so you can change the picture. I have some frames that I put covers of old magazines in ( Rolling stone / Guitar world, etc ) and a few large posters form local music festivals. My kids roll their eyes, but I think they look great.

Used books can be a great place to get unique pictures. " Coffee Table" books can have everything from classic move stars, cars, sailing ships, architecture, or even kittens, whatever you're into.
These books are large format with great full page photo's. Carefully cut the pages you want out with a razor knife and put them in a frame. Voila, you have an art collection for cheap.
 
While I was "helping" my wife settle on drapes, I found some at Ikea inspired by sound waves. They are actually pretty cool if you need to cover windows & they do look sound wavey.
 
Come one guys, you gotta have the glass head for you headphones. It's the dash board hula girl of audio.:yes:

I got the glass head for the head phones, the framed albums, and the Blown Away Guy Poster. Funny story on the poster. I had called Maxell a few years ago and asked them if they had any more posters. They said that they had run out years ago, but they where planning to start making them again soon. About a year later, I get an unexpected package in the mail, and they sent me a free poster. I couldn't believe they kept my information on file for so long and then sent me a free poster.

As far as room decor, I ended up getting this Wurlitzer Jukebox.

Man that is nice! My buddy is currently building a custom saltwater living coral tank, man you think audio gear is expensive! I would love to do something like what you have one day. well done!

The poster says "Yeah Yeah Yeah" in katakana along the right side. :) The little bit of small text that I can read is pretty amusing, talking about how English and American girls are going crazy for the Beatles, and they have the "shake shake rhythm."

That's one sweet fishtank setup. Reminds me of that scene in "Men In Black II" where there was an entire civilization of little, tiny aliens living inside a locker somewhere (I picture your fish saying in unison, "All hail Brainiac".... You're their God).

First off I think I was at your place some time ago but you may have moved since then.

Small things can tie a room together, I have a nice example of a late
forties telephone that sits on a mid century credenza and works with the room.

Additionally on the same piece is a smallish bellows type camera that also ties things in.

The following {gratuitous self promotion} these are
directed specifically at the LP-and audio crowd for room adornment.

Yeah. My room is not that big. aprox 15x8 ft. Even though I do love to look at gear I also like to look at other things while I am listening. Sometimes I feel that I am surrounded by electronic equipment only. When I was younger my room was plastered with posters from floor to ceiling. Now I have become the opposite for the reason a clean wall makes the room look bigger and cleaner. But I find I need to focus more on visual appeal. I do like Antiques!!!
