Stromberg-Carlston value

Would like to know the value of my Stromberg-Carlson mahogany stereo console with 10 speakers. Penthouse series Model RP-871 M. Label on back says 117 v, 60 CPS, 360 w, Series 101.
Component speakers - tweeters, mids, and subwoofers. 2 - 15" downward firing subwoofers, 4 - 6"x9" speakers. Tuner has obviously been replaced. Tuner nor turntable (original SC) not working, but I'm not at all electronically minded, so don't know if it just needs a tweek, (That is dust on the wires, not frayed)
For what it's worth re: the cabinet it's in great shape on front and sides,needing only minor touch ups on top.

It is all dependent on the cabinet. The original receiver, which was tube, has been taken out and a solid state little Lafayette receiver hacked in, making it about a 10 watt per channel Frankenstein. If it still had the original tube gear in it, it would have a lot more value. The best part of it is missing. A collector is not going to touch it. The original Glaser Steers changer is nice for the vintage. Not being all original is going to be a killer. Somebody will have to buy it for it's looks.

I robbed the amp out of similar one recently and turned the cabinet into a dry bar and put up for sale. Yours looks a lot cooler than mine did, might be just what someone is looking for. List as antique furniture $200 OBO and see what happens...

I think you're right on... With the fact that the cut cabinet (to fit the Laffy) hurts it even more. You could piece out the speakers on Ebay, but after all the effort it would net you about .30 cents an hour. In my neighbor hood we have a ton of these types of units on CL in the $30 dollar range. IF you clean it up really pretty and advertise it as "potential" ... I'd be happy with a $20 dollar bill....

* I'd be curious when you do sell it... who is closer...? Will you get 20 or will you get 200....? Post back when you sell !!
