Sure cartidge identification

Can anyone help me with the identification of this Sure cartridge? I see a couple pictures online that might be it but your expertise would be appreciated. It is currently on a Kenwood KD-3070 turntable.

Looks like an RXT6 to me. Which is essentially an M97xE with a cheaper stylus.

Looks like a Shure M110HE stylus. Usually that model number is printed on the side of cartridge.

Original N110HE stylus. But without the stencil, you’d have to measure the coils to know the cartridge.

In my pic above, the M110HE measures very differently than the other 3. Those 3 measure and sound identically, the Me97, RXT6 and RXP3, and are the same as the M97xE.

That's interesting. I actually have an RT6 but it is labeled on the side just like your picture. Is the M110HE any better than the RT6?

The M110HE, and the M111HE both use the generator of the M97 Era IV (1979) which is a much better generator than the M97xE/Me97/RXT6/RXP3/M104/M92. These latter generators all have a rolled off treble. The M97-E4 has a smooth, extended, flat treble. Much higher quality generator. On listening and comparing, using the same stylus for all, there is a very noticeable difference.

I got home and took a close look and my Dual cartridge holder and I think it will fit just fine.

Hey guys, take a closer look at these carts. They're not the same cart at all. Plus, the OP's stylus seems to be at a slight angle in relation to the cartridge body. And what about that beveled (is it even the right word?) lateral bottom-line...?

That’s just the lighting. I got the same “apparent” line on my similar carts, depending on how I used ambient lighting.

The only mystery here is the lack of the body stencil. OP would have to unmount the cart and have a look on top, to see if it says “Realistic” or not. Then measure the coil resistance/inductance.

The cantilevers have same angle. Just a side view and a near head-on view.

You can see the profile of the ubiquitous “boat bottom” if you zoom in on the rear cart profile:

Here is the other picture that I have. Focus is on the back part of the cartridge. The turntable is at a thrift store and they won't let me unscrew the cartridge to take a closer look at it.



I was hoping that it might have been this cartridge. Oh well :-(

It could be. Or not. But it does have a nude HE stylus on it.
