Downloaded the SM and can't open it because my Acrobat is older.

So printing form Firefox and making screenshots of the schematic and sharpening them in Pshop and taping everything together. :yikes:

Anyway, going to check what's coming outta the PS part of the uniboard to see it the voltages are right. Hoping it's similar to my 949A that was stuck in protect because of a bad Zener.

There's plenty of Adobe alternatives. PDF should always open, even on older Acrobat readers. Weird.

16 panels? You must have printed it very large... Maybe this schematic only helps?

As for reading manuals, I have a 24" screen on my workbench that I use. And a Xeon Linux workstation that is way too powerful. Once I got the hang of it (move, zoom in/out etc.) I never wanted to go back to printed schematics. Not least because I lost access to the printer at work as I was laid off...

Thank you for posting the schematic, which opens with Acrobat!

Had a photo studio for 20+ years so Pshop is sort of my natural environment. My screen isn't near my bench and I already have a space problem, so printing works best for me.

Like a big schematic so I don't have to futz with a magnifying glass when reading it.

My monitor is on the left edge of my workbench, my soldering station on the right. I lose almost no space and need no paper schematics anymore. And having to service many pieces of equipment I only have to go down a directory or two to get to the right manual. Or whatever, datasheet, PCB layout, schematic, previous repair photos. No going back to paper (or reading glasses) for me...

Try Foxit PDF Reader. I've been using this program in lieu of Adobe Acrobat Reader for over 5 years. The Reader program is free (not the Foxit PDF Editor) and has a smaller footprint on your harddrive and memory.

I use paper, do i can take notes, draw pinouts and doodle.. doodling is therapeutic.
That is true. I use a notepad. Sometimes even a text file or spreadsheet on my PC that I keep with the service manual and any photos I take. My DSLR camera is within reach so I take pics like crazy. And screenshots from my digital scope. Used to use my digicam for that on my beloved analog PM3055, but those screenshots are way easier.
