Usually the crazy ads from CL Syracuse, NY is noted here. Three wierd ones in last 2 weeks alone. Unusual when the rest of USA cities does not show up week after week.

Well, Syracuse is at it again- Hospital in Syracuse, NY fined $6K for attempting to remove organs for transport from an alive person.

Being from NYC, again what's going on up there?

Why not just transport the person, and remove the organs when they arrive? :)

Note to self: Do not get ill in Syracuse...

That is very weird- I find it odd that there is a fine schedule for such a thing- could it happen often enough that it's like getting a ticket? If so, I wonder how often they get away with it.

Wife just told me about this. Apparently the woman opened her eyes in OR as they were prepping her?

I know a guy who was a real bad alcoholic. He woke up in ER while they were putting a toe tag on him! He tells the story saying when he saw what they were doing he thinks "this can't be good!"

Liver transplant and years of sobriety and he's able to tell the story :thmbsp:

More like: Do not be a suicidal drug addict that is brain dead and on life support in Syracuse.

Obviously, if this only resulted in a fine of $6k, it must not have been that big a deal.

And I find it hard to believe that you find Syracuse weirder than NYC. Maybe it just appears that way because this kind of stuff is fairly commonplace in the Big Apple and doesn't merit column space.

Errr, the brain dead woman committed suicide 3 months later. I got a small contracted group of workers from Syracuse in NYC. The crazy stuff they did to each other was just weird including fighting & arguing. That is why I have this eye on Syracuse.

What is going on up there- sorry. :scratch2:
