Tandberg Repair Suggestions

I have a 340a that needs an overhaul. I'm looking for recommendations as to where I can send it out. I no longer trust myself to overhaul decks. I think I'm 0/4.

Anyhow, I know sound-smith does it, with the high end estimate for my model coming in at $800. I'm not afraid to pay a decent amount, I just wanna make sure it gets in the right hands.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I'd contact a member named tapetech over at tapeheads.net forum... very knowledgeable on these decks.
