TD 160 Bent Motor shaft

Thanks! All I know is that in that guy's house, you were in Deutschland! I ended up pointing to devices and calling them "that" or "this" just to avoid the linguistic lessons.

His Dad owned a Porsche 911. We won't even go there, with all the proper Teutonic phrases...

;)
Thorens is Swiss. Does the German guy say it with a Swiss accent?

Aber selbstvertändlich!!!:rflmao: That is until Thorens moved to Germany in 1966 after which the Swiss accent was dropped in favor of the German pronunciation!!! :beerchug: Hey, glad we're all havin' some fun here.....all I can say is my TD160 is a treasure to me, especially since it was given to me by a very generous neighbor in whose garage it had been collecting dust for the better part of 25 years!! I was able to bring it out of the cobwebs intact and now provide him with multitudes of recorded music which he plays happily on his CD player! So, a win-win situation and everybody's a happy camper! I'm going over there this evening so I'll have to tell him about the "korrekt" pronunciation of his "Torenz....."

PS - Apologies to @fwlthree@gma, we've not been a great help with your dilemma but hope you're finding a bit of humor in our banterings! Do let us know how things go with your efforts to straighten that shaft.....and get one of those large, tall stand-off screws so that once you have it fixed it will be protected.

Just to be correct: "TD160" = Teh-Deh, Eins, Sechs, Null (nichts?)? Oder Einhundertsechzig?

Danke für die Klarstellung!

From an old Bay-Em-Vey owner. :)

(...) but I'm pretty sure I know someone who can clear up any remaining doubts......hello Manfred @lini? (...)

Yes, the h is silent, but would typically indicate, that the following (or preceeding) o isn't a short one (at least if the h and the o (or the o and the h) are in the same syllable).

Greetings from Munich!

Manfred / lini
