Technics 205 Receiver problem

So on Phono you only have one channel right? And when you wiggle the phono jacks you get sound from both channels. Probably a bad solder joint if you've ruled out the turntable. These are solder joint's, the ones with the arrows are bad, they're cracked.

That's probably what's happned to the phono jacks in your receiver, the joints for the bad channel have cracked and are making intermittent contact, to fix this you'd need a soldering iron, a cheapo soldering iron will do.

That ^^, or a broken RCA socket, or a dirty phono switch (that's quite likely), or bad turntable to receiver cable, or broken arm wire in the turntable...

You have replaced the interconnect cable, which is good. Have you switched the channels with the cable (connected red plug to left input instead of right input on the receiver side)? If not, start with that. If you still have problems with the same channel, the problem is in your receiver. If the problem moves to the right channel, the problem is in your turntable.
