Technics, Reborn!

Bigcatlover

Hi!

Did you guys know that Panasonic decided to relaunch Technics? Today it's been two months since they're back! They went straight for the audiophile market for now...

What do you say?

Interesting, but in the wrong forum. I'll try and get it moved for you.

Moved to MDHF, where a new/old mfr is always welcome... and there's even an existing thread.

Thanks for the good thought!

Pretty nice web site and good looking products. Hopefully, this will be successful re-launch.

I hope they'll stay as innovative as they used to be. They have to come up with something else, othwerise the market leaders will eat them alive... Technics is still in people's hearts, holding a special place... which is good for them... but if they mess up it'll be a different story. I can't say "Yeah, whatever they will come up with is gonna be good!"... not these days...

But it's too early to say anything, we still don't know what plans they got.

I wish them all the best, and I'll always be a big fan no matter what!

As I said before I hope they do well. But as far as Technics being "in people's hearts, holding a special place", really? I don't see them any differently than any other Japanese audio company. Or any audio company from anywhere else for that matter. Do you really think very many people get sentimental over audio manufacturers? I'm not busting your chops but I read stuff like this on AK and just scratch my head and wonder what I'm missing.

We're not the same, we're just aiming for the same things... that's what brings us together and makes it all more enjoyable. Yes, I think people do get sentimental over audio manufacturers, you just said it yourself. And it's quite an amazing feeling to be honest. As soon as I heard Technics were back, I was alot happier, it made my day... It's hard to explain but I'm so excited when people achieve amazing things, it's an inspiration for me. It makes me proud! And it proves that people have potential. Technics has shown me more than just music... And I'm not the only one...
Maybe your inspiration comes from a different source... so I don't understand what exactly is it that you're missing either :D It's all about moving forward and being happy... and I'm sure you're not missing on those

I'm just so excited Technics are back, I can't even sleep after 7 days of 12 hour shifts in a row...

I have not been this excited about new equipment in 20 years . Cubdog , if you would visit the Pioneer , Sansui or other brand sub-sections , you would see the "passion" of those owners .

I get being passionate about a piece of gear and what it is capable of within one's system. That's entirely different than saying you hold an audio company in a special place in your heart. Seriously?

The passion is right here in the AK sub-sections . Once again , all you have to do is look .

Look at how people adore certain brands of cars . Either you get it or you don't . Seriously .

No I don't get it. I get being passionate about ones gear. I don't get having a love affair with some corporation. The day I reserve a special place in my heart for any corporation be it audio, automotive, or whatever, is the day I need to be committed to the psych ward.

BTW, I do spend time in the brand forums and I do see the passion. For the products not the companies.

Chill out people, you're both right!

My goodness... >.< It's not about the brand or the component itself! It's about people! People have made those for other people! The passion we have can be split into more categories, if we're aiming for the same things it doesn't mean we're the same :/

Now please take this to private if you feel like continuing, or just let it be. I'm sick and tired of hearing people arguing. I hear it all day long.
