technics sa-8500x

Anybody know how much a technics sa-8500x is worth ,found one on cl 175.00 ,cool looking but not sure ,also found a marantz 4230 for 210.00 ,i really like the marantz ,any thoughts.

I would definitely choose the Technics. It's a fine looking unit, may have even been TOTL! The Marantz is a bit high, I think $150 - $175 is more right for it.

Wow! that is a fine looking receiver. I would love to see all four of those meters crankin' away.

It is def old school when things were made to last might go look at it tommorow not sure about 175.00 might make offer .

Well... it hits 80 in stereo, so the buck-a-watt rule of thumb would suggest ~$100. Have a look - if it's all shiny and all the lights work offer $125 and be prepared to go to $150.
