Hi all
Just purchased a new project and wondered if the group could help me to troubleshoot the problems being faced.
The deck is an old Technics SL-110 (very similar to the SL-1100) with the following issues.
No power on light on startup (very faint and flickering)
Turns irregularly at 45rpm
No turn at 33rpm at all
Strobe light does power on
Start and stop buttons do seem to be working.
I have tried a basic clean and deoxit for all pots and potentiometers already with little to no improvement.
Upon visual inspection the PCB looks clean with no obvious signs. See images attached.
Any ideas on where best to start with the diagnostic and service? Could it be something power supply related? Could it be the transformer itself? Or even a bad motor? Who knows…
Also does anyone have the specific service manual for one of these with circuit diagrams and full parts list?
Any help or advice would be very much appreciated.
