Technics SL-1300mk2 or SL-1600mk2?

Reading thru threads on the 1600 MK2 and came upon this one. I acquired one some months ago. Excellent shape & only had to replace the arm belt. I've also had several of the 1300/1400 MK2 that all had the cue issue. I also had a 1310 black version. I agree that the 1600 MK2 is the "better" table, but, as mentioned, there is something about the look of the 1300 that is way cool, and LED readout to boot. And it is a great TT when everything is working as it should.

The beauty of the 16/17/1800 MK2 is that you can add the KAB tonearm damper.

I checked the overhang on the 1600MK2 AT15SA cartridge and found it about 1mm too short. Corrected it and am now spinning Dire Straits Live Alchemy, WOW! This is a huge improvement over the SL-5300. I am attaching a couple pictures of my setup the 1300 looks impressive off to the side. Thanks again!

Is that a Pioneer with the side optional MC plug-in that I spot in the second pic?
