So I JUST bought a Technics sl-q2 turntable that was refurbished. Paid $120 for it. Got to listen to it. Sounded GREAT. This is my first turntable. I really want the sound of vintage tube but with today's new tech combined. I found this and it came recommended. Now I'm finding I still need a pre amp. My goal is to build a custom cabinet. I wanna go from tt to pre amp to amp to speakers. I wanted to know:
-what exact setup I need?
-do the pre amp and amp need to be tube to get the "tube quality sound"?
-do I need a receiver prior to speakers if I have a pre amp and amp?
Any recommendations would be awesome!! Thanks. I'll attach some pics of what I was thinking. Looking to spend under $200 for amp. Same for pre amp. Speakers I found. Seem like a well reviewed speaker set. I'll post pics of what I've seen so far. Would like to keep to same style look if possible. Thanks again!!
