help please to remove the platter so I can make a transport plate.

Remove the rubber mat. You should see 3 screws surrounding the spindle. Unscrew those, and the platter should lift up.

The transport plate needs to be rather stout to be effective. The aftermarket one found on eBay is rather useless, as it bends easily. Unless you've an original, using tape is far more effective.

I bought the aftermarket bracket from snow_white_39 in Winnipeg, and it was just fine. It appears to be 1/16" steel, and is plenty strong. I had him drop ship it to a SP-10 MkII seller in Nevada, the TT made it to Chicago without a problem, and the bracket showed no sign of strain.

Maybe there's been another seller with weak aluminum ones, but the one I bought appears stronger than an original

The original is stepped to keep pressure off the thrust pad, and is ribbed for strength. All the flat aftermarket ones I've come across push against the thrust pad, and flex allowing movement where the shaft/pad can chatter against the ball bearing it rides on. You can try to bind the shaft with the position of the bracket, but that'll damage the bushing if there's enough inertia in transport to move it. Tape isn't perfect either, but allows far less movement IME.

In the listing the seller says "I have heard many horror stories about the centre spindle getting damaged in transport because the shipping bracket was not installed and the spindle was allowed to spin freely in transport." Spinning freely won't damage the bearing, and isn't the intent of the bracket.
