Yes i gather that the V909 is a very rare beast indeed........it is one i will always keep !!!

It sounds amazing......

That Marantz impresses me... (not often that happens) if i get to hear one, i certainly will be paying attention

anything fitted w/ those sankens at factory must be a topliner or not far from the flagship of its series

As for the V909 - yes RARE as they get, rivaled only by the elusive SE-A1 (tho i prefer the A3MK2)

Well - just wait till your eyes get's older - you'll hate the black things everytime you'r flashlight runs outta batteries.

I have to similar tapedecks - one for day use, one for night ;)

It was the flagship receiver that followed the 2600. Not quite the powerhouse the 2600 was, but I think they did the right thing and concentrated on sound quality over raw power.

Their first digital tuner, pre-sets, and plenty of power. It has a very sweet sound to it. I don't quite care for colored sound, but I guess the best way I can describe this receiver is musical. Anything I play on it sounds rather enjoyable.

And yes, their cd players with the TDA 1540/1 and CDM-0/1 are top notch even today. I have a pair of CD-73s, a CD-94, and CDA-94 that give top end players a run for their money.

Proof in the pudding............. In this picture is one of EIGHT Devices PER CHANNEL - 230V 17A 200W in SE-A3MK2 (FACTORY FIT)
