The rear end of the Trans Am eventually grew on me. Initially I was pretty much repulsed by it.

For me, it would be a deal breaker as I much prefer the front of the Trans Am over the Z28.

While I appreciate great handling (part of the reason we've had a Miata in this household continuously from mid 1989 to the present day)

If you still like your Miata but require a little bit more go under the go pedal... there is another option.

There was a LS Miata came up for sale somewhere in Pa recently. I might have been interested in pursuing it but for some reason the guy went with an automatic. I wouldn't even pass up a Ford 5 liter in a Miata, though as I understand they're not quite as nice as the LS swap.
