Outdoor amphitheater concert
WINDY!!! The mics were buried within anti-wind baffles; dead rats, alpaca cap, towels, black lace; everything that I had, i put onto the mics!
Please, listen to some samples at the LMA links, before d/l'ing. It was an outdoor, windy concert. I ended up going in closer than I normally do; so there is some imbalance.
The MKE2002 HRTF-stereo files are the only ones that will be uploaded due to the wind noise in the other mics.
How this recording might be better than the house mix,....
In speaking to the soundman for the show, he suggested that he had the High Pass Filter at full tilt, dropping the bass at 400hz, which totally kills the bass, and, the cellos, and other low frequency instruments. This was done to try to kill the massive wind rumble through the PA system.
My recording was able to capture the bass instrumentation, because I buried the mics in wind baffling, rather than HPF roll-off.
I do hope you'll enjoy!

Before anyone gets too critical of the performance, a word about this collaboration.
This is the main TVS orchestra players, in a mentoring/protege relationship with student musicians. Some of the players range from perhaps 8y.o.->12y.o. for the Junior Youth Symphony
The Youth Symphony is comprised of perhaps 12y.o. -> up to 18y.o. high school students.
So, the main focus was a concert to help teach the protege about the concert experience, and, for the parents.
