Tenma soldering station

I bought one of those cheap Tenma soldering stations that looks like it is very similar to the one in the OP. Aside from the cord being way too stiff it only lasted about a year. Now it holds room temperature perfectly but nothing above that.

This is a very timely thread for me too as I am in the market again. Thanks for the tips and info on other models.

Look on the MCM site, because that's where he gets them.

I've noticed the same thing in more than one instance. Somebody's selling something for what seems like a very reasonable price, until you do some googling and find out what the item's really selling for.

Well, THAT explains the messes that I frequently have to "fix". I always wonder what some highly paid studio tech butchers a circuit board with. :scratch2:
