What shall I say about Terry Dewick "let me count the ways" Terry done my MAC-2100 & a Pioneer SX-950 & and bench tested my My MC-110Z (free of charge) all doing superbly. You can actually call Him or e-mail and get quick response, of which I done this p.m. about my Pioneer QX-949A, he answered my questions quickly, although I cannot talk w/Him on his level. I shall soon drive the 100 mi. to Knoxville to let Him check it out. Good thing is, He is still fairly young, get your orders in! (p.s., just Google Him)

He's a great guy and you'll love his little repair facility. Don't forget to check out the car, too! And don't worry too much about talking to him 'on his level'. He's a real down-to-earth kind of guy!

Cheers,

David

Terry has been a great asset here in the Mc forum as well as to me personally. I can't tell you how many times I've sent out a "Terry, Help!" message and he figured out what the problem was, right away. Even with a 50's Zenith AM/FM table top radio I have.

I just wish you "Audiophool" types would kwit sendin' him so much stufff....He ain't got time to work on my old radios/TVs...Oh, yes, the '35 Ford Woody is VERY "Drool-worthy"...

I am sure that he would find time to work on your old stuff Sandy . He knows that you need your stuff back to listen to the late nite show .

Just so you know, Terry subcontracts Sri-Lankan technicians to do the complicated work. but they are quite good i guess...:D

Agree w/ cheff free's post, hadn't thought about this question about an apprentice for Terry. What say You Terry? Where will all this knowledge go? Surely Your knowledge of of the "old things" in audio equipt. will be preserved for posterity.

p.s. (Have seen the '35 Woody, it is lovely, used to own a '35- 5 window coupe')

Said it before, &I'll say it again-I wish I knew half of what Terry's FORGOT about electronics...Took 2 young boys-Car types-to Terry's back in the summer...They were MESMERISED about all he knew about Car Mechanics, too...

Good Morning all, Charlie in my lap and Adolf looking out the window, time to get to work and make a MAC4100 happy...

Dude, as an Austrian I have always found that name choice to be quite uncanny...

It's Charlie 'n' Adolf's shop, after all...They just let Terry work there, & they TOLERATE all the rest of us Visigoths trampin' in & out all the time...

I talked to Tom Manly today and he told me Terry was going to put up a post asking people to stop sending gear for awhile. He said he was 47 days out and has run out of room to put the boxes. That is a tough position to be in; in this economy.:D

Yeah, but a craftsman of Terry's caliber never really has to worry about finding work; It finds HIM. I'm part of the problem, I go down there to pick up something, only gonna stay a minute, & then an HOUR later, I finally drag myself out...Terry's such a nice guy & SO interesting, you DON'T want to leave...We won't even go into drooling over the Woody or some of the exotic gear down there...
