Test ride time...

Interesting looking bike. I'll be 61 years old in two days (on the assumption I don't perish), and I just bought a Yamaha FJR 1300 to carve up Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming this summer. One thing I can't help but say is this - bar hopping in any vehicle, let alone a 2 wheeler is a ticket to jail or the morgue, or both. I'm not being self righteous here, because I've been guilty of drinking and throwing my leg over bikes and hauling ass to the next bar/party when I was younger, maybe even into my forties. If you live through doing that kind of stuff unscathed, you'll look back and shudder at what you once did. I know I do. Here's a pic of my new ride.

I'm not a drinker...go for the live music! I have carved most of the US on a Harley or Buell...FJR is a nice ride. Spent 5 years in a mc...no drinkin and ridin!! Lots of dead brothers..:no:

Great bike for around town or other short hops.

It would be useless for touring, unless you plan on only touring 100 miles a day, or have a good plan for recharge points and something to do for the 1/2 to 1 hour while it is recharging.

Good man. I used to do that **** lots, and it gives me chills when I think back on it. I live in Colorado, and I do enjoy the superb legal marijuana, but, I'll tell you this much - I've been riding motorized 2 wheelers for right at half a century, and the mere thought of jumping on that torque monster when I'm stoned is so far out of the question that it makes me laugh. The bud here is no joke, and neither is hopping on a motorcycle. I really enjoy both, but, one at a time. Anyway...electric bikes probably deliver massive, instantaneous torque, faster and more linear than the old 2 strokes, which were crazy. I'd love to test ride one.

Yep, that....LOL. I'm in Washington..
 
HD is in business to make money and they are very good at it. I see this thing taking off and they will be be bringing in more people to the dealerships, who will all be purchasing live-to-ride coffee mugs and underwear.
What they did to Eric Buell and his M/C company I can never forgive, so I'm stuck riding their older bikes until I'm in the clay.

I agree eric got shafted hard!!!!! :thumbsdn: hes the one that built the fxsr in the mid 80's they took that credit from him also!!!
fyi? I saw the elec bike, a from what a few people have told me n one service tech at a Harley shop this elec bike has a a issue, a full charge will only last 53 miles
