The Good Morning (Your First Logon for the Day) Thread

Good Morning Folks. It is 59f on the deck and today's high will reach the mid 80's. It is a stay home kind of day with outdoors chores early before it gets hot and sticky. I got a few boxes to sort thru in the garage this afternoon before the heat gets to me and move indoors where it cool.

Good morning. It’s a pleasant 66°F but going to 98 later. Nothing special on the agenda today.

Yesterday morning I ran the 5-mile race that goes from the top off the nearby rimrocks to our downtown. It’s got some downhill but mostly flat. For someone in his mid-70s, I did pretty well by coming in at 47:46 which is 9:33 pace. I took 3rd on my age group and won a pair of socks. It was lots of fun.

After that I spent a couple hours in the kitchen preparing my wife’s birthday dinner. I made crespelli. I first make a stack of crepes. Then I made the filling which is onions, collard and kohlrabi greens from our garden, walnuts, cashews, and blue cheese. Then I make a white sauce with a little garlic, put a little of that in the filling. Then roll some of the filling in the crepes which I place in a baking dish, cover with the rest of the sauce, sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top and then bake it. I made a tossed green salad to go with it. Then I met friends for a beer while she took the dog to the pond for a swim. The dinner was great.

78° F and sunny, high 91.

Didn't make it here yesterday, very busy. One of the things that happened yesterday was a lady cast her line into the sea of men and she caught me. So I have a gf for now. It probably won't last, so I'll just enjoy it for the time being.

Now on my way to meet the gf at the bus station and go to church with her.

Good Morning Folks, It is 67f on the deck and cloudy and today's high mid 80's. This evening their is a slight chance of rain and thunder. This morning Alice and I are meeting our Son and Family at Church. After services brunch with the family. Once home in afternoon, a long walk if no rain.

Good morning all! Just got back from checking the neighbors' house. All is quiet, turned off the lights, checked the thermostat, and watered the remembrance plant in their garden.

Today will be a slow day for us, just hanging out in the loft trying to stay cool. It's already 91° outside, and HUMID!

Good morning y'all! It's supposed to be 104 here today. Looks like no outside activities after 11 AM. Met the kids for Mexican dinner last night at a new place and, as always, had a great time with them. I had shrimp and rice in a green pea sauce, don't remember what it was called, but it was delish. No plans for today, except the leg exercises. Have an awesome day, everyone!
 
Mornin', 80°F/~27°C, fair/partly cloudy, air pretty still, dew point and humidity the same 69. Everything feels sticky and yuck.

Sometime this afternoon, eldest daughter and SIL taking us to dinner for our birthdays. Prolly take in the Gardner Ale House about half hour from here.

Wife out walking :oops::rolleyes: and I shall do some chores in low A/C bliss. Keep safe all.
 
Good Morning! Sunny and low 90s F for the walk, going to 105. They're promising highs in the 90s and chances of rain on and off tomorrow through Friday.

Yesterday's theme park Zoom had some home movies of Disneyland in 1967, the first year I visited, but I didn't see myself in any of the shots. :D
I found out I did Walter Lewin's latest YouTube physics problem wrong, explicitly included a factor that was already part of another parameter, then made a compensating mistake that forced the correct answer. :crazy: Edit: an irrigation hose in the front is leaking. Don't know if it's a defective new one or the landscaper didn't replace that one. Seems like it never ends.

Today: buzz the noggin; chicken legs and some flavor of microwave rice for dinner.
