The Lets Track 9090DB/8080DB Production Changes Thread

The first one reported with black ribbon cable is in October '77. It's likely it occurred before that. I've always assumed it occurred around the time of the yellow zinc chassis plating and the switch to diode bias control on the driver board. The first report of a yellow zinc chassis was August '77. The last reported silver chassis is in June '77.

All of this information is from members responding to this thread. We have 345 9090DBs on file and very few that have this kind of additional information.

I think it's a good bet the black ribbon cable was added some time between June and October '77.

I really appreciate all the knowledge and wisdom that flows from the AK community.
Recently completed a full rebuild of a Kenwood KR-9600 based on the threads located herein.
It was a success and took most of a year. Stopping and starting based on the parts supply chain, holidays, etc.
It was extensive.

I have a Sansui 5050 & G-7000
Looking for a new project :)
