The mystery with Onkyo E-100 and E-200 speakers

Onkyo in the 1981/2 years brought their E-100 and E-200 speakers to the US market. According to the onkyo marketing ad to dealers, these were positioned as affordable but still high margin. Yet there is almost no signs of these speakers now.

Would anyone had heard them? Thanks.

I don't think I've ever seen Onkyo Speakers but those look pretty substantial. Those were crazy years when the first monster speakers that weighed nothing started to flourish. I feel like a lot of dealers were throwing in speakers if you got the TT, receiver, tape deck back then and other mid-line speakers were largely ignored.

In the 70s, Onkyo sold serious rather nice standard box enclosure speakers that had metal grills over the mid and high drivers (so you didn't need to keep the grills on to protect them from your kids and acquaintances poking in the tweeters and dust caps) and vented woofer dustcaps. Well reviewed.
Later they had thin, wide speakers with flat drivers that got some very good reviews but I've never seen or heard them.
