The Name That Album thread

This should be pretty findable using whatever descriptors you’d come up with for that head/face

Band or the little orchestra formed in Portland, Oregon. Covers genres and tours around the world.
Has my favorite version of The Drummer Boy.

Were you guys around AK, when the Marantz sound was often mentioned as a certain cocktail?

This was playing at Rasputin Records in Berkeley in 1986 while I was thumbing through LPs and my first foray into the band. I bought a copy for my daughter for this Christmas:

Considered my many, myself included, to be their finest work. The next two from this Scottish “duo” would gain a wider audience and that’s a good thing.

Still I’ll always Treasure the first time I laid ears upon this one.

Cocteau Twins – Treasure

Recognized at first glance. Love them!

Kinda of a classic cover from an English band's debut in the early 90s.
The biggest hit on this album was by Neil Young. They like French football.

Very '80s here... complete with homoerotic-ness.

Title track has been featured in several films, including Vanilla Sky, though not found on that soundtrack.

Welsh band, released two albums then the two leaders formed another band that managed to get on the Trainspotting soundtrack. That band is still at it, often cited as a major influence on video game composers, though they've nothing to do with Kate Beckinsale films/franchises.
