Whilst not at all listening to NWOBHM, I did recently receive from my family back in the UK, part of my Kerrang! collection, so it's time to do a bit of time travel and go back to 1981. I do have to query Pat Benatar though?!?!?

OK, after browsing Kerrang!, and having Biff front and centre, it felt correct to play the newly purchased Japanese pressing of The Power & The Glory. This is sonically impressive!!!

That's seriously cool T.B. and very cool of the folks back home to send them to you after all these decades.

...not so metal but they get the mention in the scene.

Alan over at the Let's Talk Metal youtube channel just dropped a great episode (suggested by yours truly) covering the subject of bands that could easily be taken for NWOBHM bands. It's a very enjoyable half hour video and certainly expanded my knowledge on the subject.

I told Alan he could probably do several videos on this topic. It's probably as deep a well as NWOBHM itself.

@Delmarva
AK challenges prevent me from replying to your Let's Talk Metal post directly. I actually caught the 1st few minutes of that vid at work today on my phone. I asked myself what Frank could Allan possibly be talking about???
Look forward to checking the complete vid out.

It's a really good video, Z. Alan came up with a few bands I'd never heard of, and all of his choices were spot-on.
