The official Music score thread

Went to an Estate sale by the late great Russell Solomon founder of Tower Records(rip) and bought his small cd collection. A sad but memorable day.
I used to love going to Tower records and buying an occasional cd or album. I still go to Tower restaurant across the street from where Tower records used to be. Anyway, spinning a few now on my Yamaha CD-1.
Cheers.
The documentary on the rise and fall of Tower records is both funny and tragic.

Instant Nico collection for $22 yesterday. I left behind The End, June 1, 1974 & Marble Index because I already have those.

The Live in Tokyo has a crater on the play side. 1/4" hole where there's no silver substrate. You can see the blue/black color from the face side. I got that one for $1 because I did not think it would play. Amazingly it plays without issue!

I did not know until I found one yesterday but there is a JVC Japan for US distro Genesis - Duke. I have the Japan for US versions of TOTT and W&W which are both stellar. I also grabbed on CD - Steve Hackett - Defector German press, The Byrds - Sweetheart of the Rodeo and Both Gram Parsons LPs on one disc. On vinyl I picked up an original WWA UK press with gimmick cover, original inner and insert for $5! Also a Siw Malmkvist 45.

Today's score, lots of Jazz, some Blues, Rock and Country.

I need some more punk, metal and hard rock. Those albums tend to be kinda trashed. It's ok, as long as it plays.

28 CDs - $14 - 6CD Boxset $20.jpg

Got some vinyl, yesterday too. Taking a closer look this morning and found this signed by A.J.Croce. Jim's son.
$3
The Friends of the Library is a treasure trove of music, especially rare and unusual stuff.

I don’t post often but I figured I’d catch up on my latest scores this year. Since I’m strictly CD now I’ve found some great stuff at various places in various towns. The ones below are from Half Price Books except for Stryper which came from Temu:

These came from a thrift store in Dallas:

I've been listening to my Abacab CD a lot lately. I've found that my biased ears that first absorbed this era Genesis when current have mellowed with age. Hence my excitement when I recently found a Japan for US "Duke".
