Yea, it is true that the live albums are kind of hard to find in the other playlists...or maybe not even posted as often as they are actually listened to.
As I said in the post, I really like the SQ and performances on The Dance. It's got great sound for a live cd, probably because it wasn't recorded at a traditional big live venue but more of a studio with a small audience like in an "unplugged" style. So if you're looking for raw unrestrained big arena rocking sound this isn't it, but if you want the "you are there in the first few rows in a small venue with a polite and small audience" then this is it. You can hear all the micro details in the mix that are often drowned out by big venue audiences, and everything is clear and well pronounced. And it does rock (the drums on The Chain and Tusk make my sub woofer "dance" lol), but the overall approach is more stripped down and relaxed.

Gotcha. When you said "liveness" I thought you meant something more raw and energetic than that album. It is more of an intimate small venue setting with a good amount of comments/chatter from the band. I bet you'd like it. :yes:

btw... Fillmore East and West produced some excellent recordings. Let's see what you like.
Don't get me wrong, I love those Filmore recordings. Just figure you guys with massive collections would get bored if I list those.
