Dave Mason ~ Certified Live. Pulled out of my collection for the first time in 30 years. For some reason I didn't play it because I remembered it as having crappy sound. Not at all! Sounds great. And I found a blue vinyl promo copy of an ELO single stuck in the jacket. No memory of that one. Bonus!
 
I love live recordings...the energy and passion the musician and audience infuse in the music transcends the limited medium what captures it. Many great suggestions here.

I can't believe nobody's yet mentioned Little Feat - Waiting For Columbus, or Harry Belafonte - Live at Carnegie Hall - 2 titles well known for their synergy of artistry and technology. Less of a technical tour de force but one that manages to still time whilst listening (for me anyway) is Peggy Lee - Live in London. Her performance in that will always be a favourite of mine.
