The Royal Scam

[mmarchman]

This one is a monster guitar record.

Love the pumping bass and sleazy lead kicking off "Don't Take Me Alive".

Larry Carlton's ripping lines at the end of "Kid Charlemegne" are still goosbump-inducing.

Any other fans?

My favorite album by the Dan. Their name comes from the metal tipped dildo owned by the leader of a coven of lesbians in Burroughs novel Naked Lunch.

My favorite SD record too. It's a great one to show off the system with.

Outstanding. The boys call it "their guitar album"...for obvious reasons

RS is definitely in my top 3 albums by Steely Dan.

The CD I have is clean and clear.

The LP I have is disappointingly 'brittle' sounding.(which is odd as I'd expect the opposite).

Some of their LP's were badly mastered I think
