Seriously, this is my favorite thread ever...

Rob, I hope your electrician can put things in order for you. Initially I thought it seemed like a bad idea. Now I think im onboard. youve been warned, heckled and told not to do it. What choice do you have? I suppose you are a visionary of sorts. Reading this thread has truly been great fun, I hope it ends well.

we have lived together for 3 years but we arnt legal yet. she considers me her husband, and i think of her as wifey.
 
I'm not sure what kind of support you need. Positive re-inforcement (too scared they might drag me into court for arsen related offence). Im considering sending you a fire extinguisher and a smoke alarm. Seriously though when you had all those babys going did it feel like you had roughly 12-15 space heaters running? I hope you dont put up Christmas lights... That could get outta hand.

How close are the neighbors? Back in my 20s I had a trailer with neighbors about 20 feet in either direction. I can only imagine things falling off walls, paneling coming undone, skirting flapping, metal rattling like a teenagers toyota. Good stuff!!!

the support im looking for is more yes votes on the poll, its my gear, but its the good men of audiokarma that will decide if it happens. im closing the poll oct-15th, if i get more no than yes, it wont happen., when i had it all going during shock and awe 1.0 it got hot in the warm but it didnt get as hot as most would think, the burning wire in the wall was hotter, now i have had 20 tube receivers all going at once before, and that was hell!!! lol

about 50 feet here. things did fall off my walls, and my neighbor next door said it made the water in his toilet ripple! but i didnt see it happen so he might be full of **** lol, paneling did get shaken apart, and i have the pics to prove it. i damaged the brace that holds my trailer together, and yes, it sounded like a 1985 toyota camery with 4 12" subs booming at 1000 wpc, -without dynamats.

I've waited to vote as I would hate for anything bad to happen to you your family and your gear. If Sparky gives you a thumbs up so do I. You are using ear protection...right? This hobby could lose its luster if you go stone deaf! I'll be lookin for a u-tube clip.

Orrrrrr, if you sold all that wicked vintage gear on any audio-site, you would have enough money for an incredible newer system that would blow your ears off, and still have enough to hire an electrician to make sure everything is safe.
 
well, the stage is set!!!!, i began tearing down my living room rig last night, and started to put together my winter system, witch will eventuley become shock and awe! 2.0, ill post pics real soon!
