About 15 years ago I saw k.d. lang in concert and when she did Orbison's "Crying Over You" I got chills. She's got an amazing voice.
 
Barb's rendition of "Send in the Clowns" (The Broadway Album), I have both the LP and the CD, guess which one I prefer?

Also, in french "La Langue de Chez Nous" from Yves Duteuil, it's a tribute to the poetic nature of the french language and the way it has evolved through migration.
 
Another one is the bagpipe version of "Amazing Grace". And the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band's version of "Will The Circle Be Unbroken".
 
About 15 years ago my wife and I saw Tony Bennett in Chicago at a theater in a downtown hotel.

Half way through the show, Tony walks by himself down from the stage up the center aisle into the audience with no microphone and no band and sings Fly Me To the Moon (In Other Words). We were seated about 80 feet away and we could hear him perfectly.

That one is tough to get through. When I listen to the lyrics I can't help but get a visual, and every sailor understands it a little more than most.

Not chilling, but melting

A couple songs that don't send chills up my spine necessarily but stop me in my tracks and melt me are:

The Theme from Chinatown: the haunting, melancholy tone quality of the trumpet is mesmerizing.

The love theme from Three Days of the Condor: Dave Grusin's equally haunting love song featuring a sensuous saxophone

The love theme from The Fabulous Baker Boys: another bittersweet song of "the love that might have been" sensuously played on the saxophone again.

I'll have to think more about the chills side.
