If you love gadetry from 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, The Time Machine or even Wild Wild West, you sir like Steampunk.

I've working on my next amp and this time I want to go steampunk. So how about showing off things you have done or find around the net. I want some inspiration.

I start things off with some steampunk scuplture:

Love that stuff myself, but don't really have any. Unless you count old tube gear, oscilloscopes & such. :smoke:

Hmmmmmm.

She seems a bit cold, distant and lacking in the best parts.

Cool site.

Egad, I cringe as I do this but here is some of my artwork. I uploaded a bunch to Photobucket. These, well a bunch of it might fall under this category.

These were done using Bryce, Ray Dream, Poser and Paint Shop Pro.

Cool Holst. I used to use all those apps. The one with Poser looks like the controls could be from Myst.

We need a ART Forum.

Keep an eye on the Makezine blog (http://makezine.com/blog). Regular posting of home-brew DIY Steampunk "artifacts".

Also, WETA (the guys who designed all the cool stuff for LOTR and Hellboy) recently released three "ray guns", all steampunk themed. They are deliverd in velvet lined tin boxes. One of the designers was quoted as saying "If I could have included dust and pressed moths in the packaging, I would have." :D

I don't know if any of you are into video games at all. But Troika came out with "Arcanum of Steamworks and Magic Obscura" in like 99 or 2000. It was an RPG set in a word of industrial revolution in a previously magic dominated world. The themes and steampunk imagery are pepper throughout. It probobly ranks on my top 10 games of all time, too much fun.

Bonus: The soundtrack was all done by a string quartet to add that flair :)

Wow, some great stuff here! I know this link will be informing my upcoming guitar amplifier build! And probably the next ten projects or so I do!
