First is a HH Scott LK-150, its in beautiful condition, all recapped and the chassis is beautiful. I haven't powered it yet, but soon, I'll have time to kill during the blizzard.

Next up is a Lafayette 550, again it looks completely rewired, chassis is beautiful.

Anyone familiar with these?

They are really cool... really like that Scott... Good luck with them...
I'm waitin on teh blizzard too,,, can I have one of them!!!!
 
The Lafayette has the look of a kit, but someone did a fine job building it. I've seen factory built amps with much sloppier wiring. That Scott is super cool too. I'd love to own one of those.
 
I had a Scott like that. Traded it away for a Marantz 16. 1969

I think I might still have the sn somewhere.
 
I have the LK150. I use it with a McIntosh MX110, and Klipsch RF-7s. I have to turn the treble down, and then it sounds great.

The Lafayette is a beautiful amp! I notice the printed circuit boards - when was it manufactured?
 
Just played the Scott, its hooked up to a Mac C-20 and it sounds great.

The Lafayette is on the variac now, where would the date of manufacture be found on the amp?

Ok, here is 1 model 8b, the other is hooked up. The 2's are on the bottom, not pictured is a model 1 preamp I got also.

Those are works of art to simply look at, can't even imagine how they must sound! Truly, how did you come across these!?! There's got to be a great story on how you came to own these...

I got these from the family of an avid collector who recently passed away. You wouldn't believe the stash this guy had.

I picked up more than I could ever use, but it will me a chance to try different amps and keep what I like.

Sounds similar to the gentleman I met last summer with a massive collection.
Truly jaw dropping.
