Thorens arm/headshell on Lenco??

Hello everyone, I just picked up this Lenco 75 with Thorens arm.

I'm thinking that the head shell does not belong to the arm and also there are bits missing from the arm?

Does anybody know what is going on with this Frankenstein record player.....

It's a Thorens TP-14 tonearm (210mm eff. length/190mm S2P/20mm Overhang) with it's stock TP-50 headshell. Though superb to the somewhat flimsy Lenco tonearm (227.9mm eff. length/210.8 S2P/17.1mm Overhang), it does not belong there.
It doesn't seem to be missing anything other than a headshell finger lift and a tiny screw to fasten the Thorens foilcal cap. Sell it if you want... It's actually worth a lot more than the Lenco tonearm.

The tonearm overhang seems rather off scheme... I would find risky to place anything but a conical stylus there if ever. With it's effective mass estimated at 14.6g, this will benefit a medium toward the low compliant cartridge as well.

Otherwise, take the tonearm off and try to find a tonearm whose overhang fits this Goldring turntable pre-cut hole positioning and fit that Thorens tonearm on another turntable maybe. A Thorens TD135 is the perfect fit for it for example.

I think the early TP-14's did not come stock with it and were more like the BTD-12S, meaning no anti-skate. I know most did have it though. There was a kit available from Thorens for the BTD-12S that can still be found on-line
