Thorens TD-160 with Shindo Monbrison

Do give the cart some break in. My AT440mla was quiet bright and harsh for 50+ hours of breakin.

Do make sure you aren't getting feedback vibration to stylus, from speakers. Post some pics of system in room. And where your turntable is sitting.

Any extra decoupling footers under table feet? Do try with dust cover closed, if you have not. Try removing dustcover for test.

Thank you for the feedback! I tried a few things following your advices. I have to say that you were spot on, for one thing, the cart is getting smoother with more hours on it. Also decoupling the table from the vibration of the speaker made a huge improvement!
I know I know and I feel stupid writing this but I never hidden the fact that I was new to LPs ;) and I’m learning how finicky the table suspension plus the styli is grabbing ever so small vibrations. I somehow fixed it with Iso acoustics speaker footers, not ideal I’m sure but the table is in a temporary spot, I’m at finishing a dedicated audio room and the Thorens with all the components will be located much further from the speakers (please dont laugh as the table is way too close for now as you can see ;)
