You should determine the spatial location of the humming source: cartridge, cables, preamp or amp. Use your imagination switching any of these components and narrow down your list of suspects. Take a look at the ground wire of your TT, in case it has it. Is it connected to other components? Also you could try reversing the AC plug. There are many sources of hum, and first you need to exclude some possibilities. Do you have another cart? Is the hum constant or changes when your hand approaches the cart rear connectors?

on mine, i disconnected the ground wire, try it both ways! Also make sure your power cable is not close to the signal cables. this worked for me
