I finally got around to replacing the feet on my SR-838. Turns out my originals were not as bad as I thought. Must have been one of the others I had.

The TT sits a smidge higher, but I could probably crank down on the screws to compress the springs some. Won’t do it. New springs are stiff.

I bought the silver ones because they match other silver features on the table. Glad I did, I like them.

Sure they cost more than they once did, but they are quality parts and would buy them again if needed.

Haven't noticed anything odd with my 838 feet. Hope they are fine. Glad to hear your original old feet were still in good shape.

Nice! The silver looks sharp! Something I probably need to address on mine too. Looks like at least two of yours were torn and probably sagging.
 
I bought a set of these for my 929 quite a while ago, in silver. Have been very happy with the fit and look. Very glad these are available, there are a lot of classic turntables in need of new feet. They've hit on a winner in offering a selection of these.
 
All done with no mention of the source. Not that I need SR feet, having sold both 838s I found on the lucky Akers based on the price I got them for. All good I have plenty of TTs. What it once was:

I couldn't be without an SR-838. Lots of tables and gear have come and gone, but it remains.

Three were bad. The short foot rubber was hard and broken. It was sagging a bit.

@Robisme, I almost posted the suppliers name, but had the same reservation in running afoul of forum rules. I guess we'll see if it gets flagged and edited, or not.
 
As far as I know there are no issues posting the supplier name. People discuss QRX Restore, Japanese Auctions and some guy is always pitching his speaker binding posts in the forum - just no links to ads, sales links and no discussions about pricing. PM someone if you want more specific details.
 
@Blue Shadow I just read the rules and it looks like the “not promoting a business” only applies to AK vendors.

Guess I should re-read the rules now and then.

Yes, this vendor has been mentioned many times as they make decent looking feet of many varieties for different brands of table.

Without a link I just searched “new replacement sansui turntable feet” and scrolled down to the MnpcTech link and got the page.

I might pick some up for an amp I have: any reason they wouldn't work for an amplifier too?

obviously TT's feet might optimally be spring loaded. But amplifiers often have vibration deadening components added too

@bolero, the feet come with threaded studs pre-installed to fit the threaded receivers in the bottom of the plinth. More to the point, they'd require some modification to use as feet on an amp. Also note that on some models (like the 838) not all 4 feet are the same height.

These feet would not work without modifications. They do sell other feet for amps. Also, others sell custom feet.

I ordered these for my SR-838 in 2019 and I thought they were perfect. I'd like to purchase a pair for my Kenwood KP-7010, but they just look too bulky. I wish they could make them more low-profile, closer to the height of the originals.
